Ian Harte has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Morten Spencer signing a contract with Leeds United.
As announced on Leeds’s official website this morning, Spencer has signed his first professional contract with the Premier League club.
The 17-year-old has put pen to paper on a two-year deal at Leeds and will stay at the Whites until the summer of 2023 at least.
Former Leeds star Harte is the agent of Spencer, and he has expressed his delight at the versatile youngster and has advised him to continue to work hard.
Spencer is a dynamic and promising young player who can operate as a left-winger and as a central midfielder and is very good with both feet.
The teenager joined Leeds from Sunderland in 2019 and has progressed well at the club’s academy.
The youngster had injury issues in the first half of the season, but following his recovery, he scored two goals in 10 appearances for the Under-18 side in the Premier League North.
Leeds handing him his first professional contract shows how much faith they have in Spencer.
