Fabian Ruiz is a man in high demand amid reported interest from Premier League duo Arsenal and Newcastle United, the Napoli star’s agent Marco Branca tells Radio Punto Nuovo.

Everything about the silky Spain international just screams ‘class’.

Maybe its his sleek, movie star haircut. Maybe it’s the way he waltzes across the turf like Fred Estaire in pipe and slippers. Perhaps it’s his most cultured of left boots. A playmaking paintbrush sweeping across the San Paolo canvas.

Ruiz’s last-gasp winner in Napoli’s 2-1 triumph away at Lazio recently was the former Real Betis talisman to a tee. A beautifully struck, first-time effort, bending around the a nearby defender and into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.

If Jurgen Klopp plays ‘heavy-metal football’, then Ruiz is ‘20s Swing. Suave, sleek and devastatingly debonair.

Is Fabian Ruiz heading to the Premier League?

According to The Mirror, Arsenal want to sign Ruiz in the summer transfer window. The Gunners have held talks with the Spaniard’s representatives to enquire about a potential move to the Emirates Stadium.

Nouveau-riche Newcastle United, meanwhile, are willing to treble Ruiz’s wages, offering the 25-year-old £100,000-a-week at St James’ Park.

“He is a good player. There is not much more to say. I have always liked the good ones,” says the midfielder’s agent, translated by Football Italia.

“Fabian Ruiz has appeal throughout Europe. This is a situation the club, which clearly has its own ideas, will address at the opportune moment. There’s plenty of time to do everything.

“The transfer market is getting closer. And, obviously, the balance sheets need to be analysed. But at the end of the day, these decisions will be made by people.

“In any case, it’s too early to talk about that now.”

Ruiz is due to become a free-agent in 2023. And with the 15-time Spain international reluctant to put pen to paper on a new deal, Napoli are reportedly listening to offers in the region of just £16 million.
