The agent of Wolfsburg defender Micky Van de Ven has admitted that a move away from Wolfsburg may be on the cards with Premier League giants Liverpool reportedly keen.
Signed by new Anfield sporting director Jorg Schmadtke during his time at the Bundesliga outfit back in 2021, it would be fitting if Micky Van de Ven ended up becoming his first new addition on Merseyside too.
Schmadtke, per the Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung, continues to keep tabs on the £34 million-rated Dutchman at Liverpool.
And Van de Ven did not wait long before issuing a proper, old-fashioned ‘come and get me plea’ once the window opened.

“I am very good at Wolfsburg, so I don’t mind staying at Wolfsburg for another year. But if I get a chance to leave, I would like to,” the 22-year-old said last week.
“Of course, I read everything (the speculation). I have good contact with my agent, so I know what’s going on. I’ll see where it will lead.
“Hopefully, (a big transfer after the U21 Euros) would be nice. The Premier League? Maybe, yes. Who knows.”
Micky Van de Ven open to Liverpool move
Van de Ven’s agent, Jose Fortes Rodriguez, indicates that Liverpool are likely to face ‘a lot of’ competition for the former FC Volendam youngster; a left-footed, ball-playing centre-half who could slot in neatly alongside fellow Dutchmen Virgil van Dijk and Cody Gakpo at Anfield.
Van de Ven will not leave Wolfsburg for just any old club. But should the right offer arrive, the 6ft 4ins colossus is likely to be on the move after just two years in Germany.
“Micky has had a fantastic season,” Rodriguez tells WAZ. “There are a lot of clubs interested. It would be stupid to say now that he will definitely stay in Wolfsburg.
“Anything can happen. The calls from the clubs come automatically. (But) if the right club doesn’t come, why wouldn’t Micky stay in Wolfsburg?”
