Dominik Szoboszlai’s agent, Matyas Esterhazy, spoke to TMW about the future of his client beyond the end of this season.

The Hungarian has been closely watched by a number of top European clubs and it is almost guaranteed that he will leave RB Salzburg for a bigger side this summer.

Szoboszlai, still only 19, has four goals and seven assists so far this season. Goal claimed that Arsenal, AC Milan, Inter, Lazio and Borussia Dortmund are all keen to sign the youngster this summer.

His performances in the Champions League this season caught the eye of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp as well, who is also said to be interested in signing him. (The Sun, 2 October, page 52)

However, his agent has dropped a huge hint about his future which could be a big blow to Premier League sides.

Esterhazy said: “At the end of the story the choice is made by the player. In my idea, Italian football can be a good destination. If the time is right, Serie A is one of the most likely choices, of course.”

Both Milan clubs and Lazio will now be on high alert after Esterhazy’s statement but that shouldn’t mean that the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool should miss out.

Szoboszlai is valued at £26.7 million (Goal), which isn’t out of Arteta’s and Klopp’s reach ahead of next season.

The start of the transfer window is still unknown and a lot can still change between now and then.
