Liverpool striker Christian Benteke is a player with an uncertain future after a difficult first season at the club.
The Belgian international struggled to win over new Reds boss Jurgen Klopp, and his agent has been responding to questions over his future.
Asked by Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb if there was interest from Serie A clubs, Benteke’s representative Eric Kismet admitted there had been contact during the mid-season transfer window.

Kismet said regarding Serie A interest in Benteke: “There are only rumours. There was some contact with Serie A clubs six months ago.
“Now, however, there is nothing. He is currently a Liverpool player, we will see how the situation evolves.”

He added that Benteke’s priority right now is the European Championships with Belgium, and with good reason beyond national pride and a will to win.
Benteke’s agent discusses that there has been no contact from Serie A sides this summer, but that could quickly change if he impresses at Euro 2016.
It is the ideal opportunity to put himself in the shop window, which would suit Liverpool, as if they sell, they would not want to make too big of a loss on the £32 million they paid Aston Villa for him last summer.
