The Toffees have been linked with a move for the experienced Argentina international.
The agent of reported Everton target Ever Banega has told calciomercato that the 51-times-capped Argentina midfielder will not be moving in the January transfer window.
A report from the Mirror claimed at the weekend that Ronald Koeman could look to add some more class to his midfield by signing the 28-year-old star.
A piece from calciomercato earlier on Wednesday suggested that Inter could look to sell Banega for Financial Fair Play reasons, and that he could be available for as little as €10 million (£8.4 million).

Banega would be an exciting addition to the Everton squad. He has over 250 senior appearances in Spanish football to his name, mainly with Valencia, and has won over a half-century of caps for Argentina.
However, perhaps Toffees fans should not get their hopes up. In an interview with calciomercato published on Wednesday, Banega’s agent, Marcelo Simoniain, insisted that he has heard nothing from Goodison Park and that Banega would be staying with the Serie A side until at least the end of the season.
Simoniain said: “Banega is a true ‘crack’ and many managers would like to have him in their squads. Every boss he’s had has been left impressed by him. Patience is needed at the moment.
“I don’t know [about any move], they [Everton] have never contacted me. Yes [he is staying], he has a contract and wants to win with this club.”
Though it could be a smokescreen, that sounds pretty definitive; it appears as though Koeman may have to look elsewhere for midfield targets.
