The agent of Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior is ‘99 per cent’ certain that the Poland international will stay at the Premier League giants this month despite reports of a return to Serie A with AC Milan or Roma.
On the 12 month anniversary of Jakub Kiwior’s arrival at the Emirates Stadium, it appears that we can put the speculation raging about the defender’s immediate future to bed for the time being.
The £20 million signing from Spezia has endured a difficult few weeks – that own goal against Liverpool, that half-time hooking at Fulham, that torrid afternoon in Eindhoven – but Kiwior appears to retain Arsenal’s trust.

Jakub Kiwior is not leaving Arsenal
“’Kuba’ is an Arsenal player. He has a valid contract and, according to all our information, he is a player (who will stay there for) years. 99 per cent, he stays in London,” Pawel Zimonczyk, the Poland international’s agent, tells TVP.
“We have had specific inquiries from many clubs, but everything is decided by Arsenal and their position is clear. Kuba stays at Arsenal.
“If you are at one of the best clubs in the world, you have to fight for yourself. Kuba is getting more and more minutes. Being his age, after such a big transfer and jump, everything looks fine in every respect.”
Kiwior might not be a regular in Mikel Arteta’s XI but his versatility and his left-footedness makes hte 23-year-old a useful member of the Gunners’ roster. While a centre-half by trade, Kiwior has filled in at left-back on many occasions.
“Kuba is an ambitious player. He wants to play more and more. And we all hope that this will happen in the near future,” Zimonczyk adds.
“The club’s position has not changed in any way since May. Kuba is still an important part of the team. I don’t think that will change.”
Serie A return ruled out
Kiwior has been linked with both AC Milan and a Roma side who sacked Jose Mourinho earlier in the month, with some pundits back home in Poland urging him to consider his future.
But, in an interview of his own with Sport, Kiwior took a similar stance to that of his representative, with any long-term decision over his Arsenal career likely to be made in the future at the earliest.
“I’m glad I saw how such a big club operates, and that I get opportunities from the coach. I definitely strive to have even more of them,” Kiwior explains. “In my opinion, (the Premier League) is the best league in the world.
“It’s certainly nice and I’m glad that there is interest in me. But I focus on the present. Besides, there have been no talks with me yet.”
