Both Everton and Manchester United have been heavily linked with a future move for Juventus’ Cypriot talent Grigoris Kastanos this week.
The Independent reported just yesterday that the Toffees boss Ronald Koeman was confident his side could win the race for his signature – which is valued at around £17 million.
The news is obviously a surprise considering the transfer window is shut, but with young players such as the 18-year-old teams often try to get the one up on deals before the window is open again.
Everton and United fans will however want to pay attention to the comments from his agent yesterday.

Speaking to ESPN Yanni Evangelopoulos made it clear no approach had yet been made from Everton, Manchester United or anyone for the Juventus talent.
He stated:
“I know nothing about interest from Manchester United and Everton apart from what I have seen in the media.”
He then went on to make it clear that Kastanos was already at a big club and was focused on developing himself in Turin:
“Grigoris, although young, is on a professional contract at Juventus and he was with the first team this summer on preseason.
“It is nice to hear of reported interest from other clubs, but Juventus are also a big club — in the top 10 in Europe in my opinion. Grigoris is focused on developing at Juventus and trying to do his best for them.”
It would therefore appear that Everton and Manchester United’s approach for the youngster would seemingly be unsuccessful – as he is happy to remain in Italy.
With January far away, both clubs have plenty of time to find other targets.
