Sunderland have taken Dutch goalkeeper Robbin Ruiter on trial.
The report claims that he could even participate in Sunderland’s friendly game against Bradford City on Saturday.
The 30-year-old is out on free agent released by Eredivisie side Utrecht at the end of last season.
Sunderland manager Simon Grayson is reportedly keen to sign two goalkeepers, with Jordan Pickford and Vito Mannone both having left the Stadium of Light this summer.

The goalkeeper has been heavily linked with Belgian side Zulte Waregem, but Sunderland have persuaded him to give a trial at the Wearside club.
He missed a large chunk of last season through injury, but is looking to prove his fitness and get his career back on track.
The player’s agent, Dick van Burik, has confirmed that the player is in England and hopes that he could seal a permanent move to Sunderland.

“The club (Sunderland) wants to see how fit he is,” said van Burik, as quoted by The Northern Echo. “Robbin has not really played for six months because of injury.
“Hopefully, he will make a positive impression at Sunderland. He has spent a lot of years at Utrecht, but now he wants a foreign adventure. Sunderland could be a wonderful new chapter in his career.”
