Agent confirms Spurs interest in Galatasaray’s Bruma, report claims he wants transfer

Tottenham are reportedly keen on Galatasaray winger Bruma.

Galatasaray winger Bruma has been linked with a move to Tottenham – and his agent has told O Jogo, as quoted by Sport Witness, that there are other teams interested.

Bruma, 22, was long regarded as one of Europe’s top young wingers during his time coming up through the ranks with Sporting Lisbon, but after just 13 appearances for the Portuguese giants, he moved on to Galatasaray in 2013.

With four goals and 12 assists in his first two seasons with the club, Bruma showed promise, and spent last season on loan at Real Sociedad, before heading back to Turkey over the summer – and he has starred this term.

With four goals and three assists in just ten games, Bruma is enjoying the best run of form of his career, and his performances appear to have triggered interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

First, Haber Bedava reported earlier this week that Bruma has rejected a new contract in a bid to force through a move to England, whilst Aksam claim that Spurs have watched Bruma six times already, and are pursuing a €25m (£21.5m) deal for the wide man.

Now, Bruma’s agent Catio Balde has told O Jogo, as quoted by Sport Witness, that there are other English clubs keen on Bruma, but did confirm Tottenham’s interest in the speedy winger.

“Besides Tottenham, there are other English clubs who are very attentive to Bruma,” said Balde, with clubs seemingly queuing up to take Bruma to the Premier League.

Intriguingly, Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino told Liverpool Echo earlier this season that he wanted a player like Liverpool’s Sadio Mane in his side, and Portuguese Under-21 international Bruma possesses similar speed – something Spurs are lacking in wide areas as they struggle to unlock opposition defences.

Spurs may have to move quickly to land the Guinea-Bissau-born winger though, as it seems that they aren’t the only English team keeping tabs on Bruma’s performances this season.
