According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are plotting a bid for Amiens striker Serhou Guirassy. Now, his intermediary agent has commented on the matter.

It’s stated that Arsenal’s budget has been hit for this summer, so they’re looking at cheaper targets. One of them is French attacker Guirassy.

Amiens have been relegated from Ligue 1 with the French season being ended early, and that – combined with the global pandemic – means they may be under pressure to sell.

Striker Guirassy is one of their most saleable assets. The 24-year-old bagged nine goals and one assist in 23 appearances for Amiens, attracting major interest.

Bournemouth and West Ham United are thought to be in the race too. Yet if Arsenal come calling, it would be difficult for the striker to say no.

It’s stated that intermediary agent Mark McKay is contacting English clubs for Guirassy’s signature, suggesting there could be a real battle on the cards.

McKay has stated that a number of clubs in England have registered their interest. McKay even feels that Guirassy could be a huge bargain considering the current climate.

Finally, he added that Guirassy wants to play in the Premier League. It’s ultimately up to Amiens, but it seems that Arsenal will have a great shot at signing him if they really push for a deal.

“A number of clubs in England and across Europe have shown an interest in Serhou after he performed so well for Amiens,” said McKay. “In the current climate due to the impact of the pandemic, clubs might not be able to pay huge transfer fees like they used to and in that respect Serhou could prove to be a bargain in this window.”

“Serhou’s preference has always been to play in the English Premier League, but Amiens will evaluate all offers that come in for him and make a decision from there,” he added.
