Liverpool may not be in the market for big-money signings this summer, but youngsters for the future could be appealing.

The global pandemic will have hit Liverpool’s finances, and cheap prospects for the future may make sense for the Reds this summer.

The Mirror recently noted that Mechelen talent Aster Vranckx is one target, whilst Vasco da Gama attacker Talles Magno is another on Liverpool’s wish list.

Now, agent Jakub Schlage from the SSM Football agency has taken to Twitter to confirm that the Reds have made a new signing – Polish youngster Fabian Mrozek.

Schlage notes that the youngster has agreed a permanent move to Anfield, and will join their youth setup this summer having finally made the move to Merseyside.

Back in September, Sportowe Fakty in Poland reported that FC Wroclaw goalkeeper Mrozek had impressed on trial with the Reds, convincing their coaches that he is a real talent for the future.

That report stated that Mrozek would finalise his move when he turned 16, which has now happened, so the deal – around nine months in the making – has now gone through.

Mrozek becomes the third Polish goalkeeper on the Liverpool books, joining Kamil Grabara and Jakub Ojrzynski at the club as the Reds continue to look to Poland for talented goalkeepers.

With Lukasz Fabianski, Wojciech Szczesny and Artur Boruc all having success in Britain, Liverpool will hope that Mrozek follows an impressive line of Polish stoppers.
