Everton reportedly want to sign Lucas Digne from Barcelona in the summer transfer window.

According to The Mirror, Everton are interested in signing Digne from Barcelona this summer.
The report has claimed that the Premier League club have made contact with the Spanish and European giants over the transfer of the 24-year-old left-back.
The Toffees are reportedly looking at the France international left-back as a long-term successor to Leighton Baines, who has been on the books of Everton since the summer of 2007 when he joined from Wigan Athletic for an initial transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £5 million and earns £70,000 per week as salary, according to The Daily Star.
Digne’s agent, though, has suggested that 24-year-old is happy at Barcelona and does not want to leave Camp Nou.
Mikkel Beck told The Mirror: “We have a long contract still with the club. The club is very happy about Lucas. It’s not a situation where the club is saying Lucas has to leave or we are saying we have to leave.
“But you know of course you always want to play more. All footballers want to play week in, week out, but we made the choice to go to Barcelona.
“Let’s see what happens, but at the moment we are not really thinking about it. Lucas is at Barcelona, it is the biggest club in the world. You don’t just leave the biggest club in the world.”

Barcelona to Everton switch
Barcelona are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and leaving the Spanish and European giants for Everton would be a step down for Digne.
True, the France international left-back has struggled for playing time at Camp Out since his move from Paris Saint-Germain in 2016, but the former Lille star should stay at Barcelona and fight for his place.
