West Ham United are hoping to sign Nikola Vlasic before the deadline – and his agent has now commented on the potential move.
The Hammers have seen Pablo Fornals, Said Benrahma and Jarrod Bowen enjoy great starts to the season, but they are still seeking one more versatile playmaker.
Jesse Lingard’s loan spell came to an end this summer and West Ham haven’t been able to bring him back to East London.
David Moyes and co have started looking elsewhere, and The Guardian now claim that a deal for CSKA Moscow star Vlasic is very close.
They state that a €30million (£25.7million) move is drawing closer, with West Ham feeling that he is better value for money than Lingard.
That will immediately put pressure on Vlasic.
Lingard racked up nine goals and four assists in just 16 games on loan at West Ham, becoming a fan favourite at the London Stadium.
Vlasic has flopped once in the Premier League with Everton, but has smashed 33 goals and 21 assists in 108 outings for CSKA.

The Croatian international will now be expected to make a big impact if he is joining instead of Lingard, and Vlasic’s agent has commented on the move.
Agent Tonci Martic has told Eurostavka in Russia that negotiations are ongoing and progressing with West Ham, but the deal hasn’t been done.
“We are in the process of negotiations with West Ham, they are progressing. But the deal has not been completed yet,” Martic said.
This is all positive stuff for West Ham, but with not long to go until the transfer deadline, they need to get all the details sorted soon.
