Wilfred Ndidi’s agent says there have been no talks with Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur or Watford.
The agent of Genk midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has told All Nigeria Soccer that he hasn’t held talks with Newcastle, Tottenham or Watford.
Ndidi, 19, has been making his name in Belgium with Genk having been a star for the Nigerian Under-20 side at the 2013 Under-20 World Cup.
Tipped for a bright future, Ndidi has been featuring regularly this season, not only making 14 appearances in the Jupiler League, but also playing six times in the Europa League, and his displays over the last year appear to have triggered some interest.

Back in August, Belgian newspaper Het Laaste Nieuws reported that Tottenham were interested in signing Ndidi, The Mirror claimed in July that Watford wanted to sign Ndidi for £6m, whilst Newcastle are also pursuing him according to The Chronicle.
With so much Premier League interest in Ndidi, it was only a matter of time before his agent was contacted for a comment on the situation – and that has now happened.

Ndidi’s agent has told All Nigeria Soccer that no talks have taken place with Newcastle, Tottenham or Watford, and that Genk will let him know if there is any concrete interest from any clubs.
“Ndidi came for national team duties, no talks have taken place with Newcastle United, Watford and Spurs. And Genk will definitely tell me if the interest is concrete,” said Ndidi’s agent.

Genk’s Brand and Communication Manager Willem Boogaerts also offered his comment on the situation, telling All Nigeria Soccer that he knows nothing about Newcastle’s reported interest in Ndidi.
“I have no information on the interest from Newcastle United, I know nothing about that,” said Boogaerts.
An athletically gifted midfielder with pace and power, Ndidi can play in holding midfield and at centre back, and with Nigerian starlets like Kelechi Iheanacho, Alex Iwobi and Isaac Success already in the Premier League, Ndidi may well join them in the future – but a deal doesn’t look likely in January if his agent is to be believed.
