Arsenal have high hopes for some of their young players, with Mikel Arteta regularly calling them into first-team training.
Folarin Balogun seems the closest to truly breaking through, but the likes of Marcelo Flores and Charlie Patino have been spotted in senior training in recent weeks.
On Monday, striker Nikolaj Moller was spotted in first-team training too, and so was midfielder Catalin Cirjan ahead of tonight’s Carabao Cup tie with Manchester City.
The 18-year-old arrived from Viitorul Domnesti in 2019, and has caught the eye in Premier League 2 this season with one goal and two assists in six games.
Cirjan was called up for first-team training on Monday, and it now seems that the decision was more of a permanent one than first thought.

Cijan’s agent Catalin Sarmasan has taken to Twitter to claim that the playmaker is now officially part of Arsenal’s first-team setup.
Sarmasan added that Catalin has ‘fantastic progress’ ahead of him and will work hard in the Arsenal first-team picture, with a senior debut surely not too far away for the teenager.
