Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha is hoping to make the striker his latest Ibrox signing.

Rangers could struggle to have Alfredo Morelos registered in time for the start of their Europa League qualification campaign, the player’s agent has told the Daily Record.
It was reported on Thursday that the striker was closing in on a move to Ibrox, after a fee of around £1 million was agreed with Finnish side HJK Helsinki.
However, the deal is now said to have stalled with Morelos, who is from Colombia, currently unable to apply for the work permit he needs to become a Rangers player.

It is claimed the 20-year-old’s documents have been sent to the British Embassy should HJK come up against Welsh opposition in their own Europa League campaign.
And Morelos is said to fear his “dream move” to Rangers could hinge on a reunion with his passport.
“We don’t know the timetable but we are working towards a deadline because Rangers want to have him registered for the first round of European qualifiers on the 18th or 19th of June,” Jonne Lindblom, who represents Morelos, told the Daily Record.

“That means we are now fighting against time to make it happen. We’ve been in talks with the ambassador and the authorities here in Finland but we can’t really push it any harder. All we can do is wait for the passport to come back from the embassy.”
Rangers have already made four new signings this summer, with deals for Daniel Candeias, Eduardo Herrera and Carlos Pena also said to be in the pipeline.
