Kamil Miazek’s transfer to Leeds United appears to have been announced by the Polish goalkeeper’s agency on Twitter.
@INNFOOTBALL_ tweeted the following image of Miazek, with the words “done deal (…) FINALLY OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED”, in Polish – an hour after Leeds completed the signing of Belgian left-back Laurens De Bock from Club Brugge.
Miazek is reported to have joined Leeds on trial in September 2017, having previously auditioned with the Whites’ Yorkshire rivals, Barnsley.
The 21-year-old was on the books of Dutch giants Feyenoord, but had been without a club after leaving Chojniczanka Chojnice last summer.
According to Transfermarkt, however, Miazek has been an official Leeds player since 12th October, and is under contract at Elland Road until June.
Talented young keepers Bailey Peacock-Farrell, Will Huffer and Harrison Male are already on the Whites’ books.
First team pair Felix Wiedwald and Andy Lonergan have often struggled to convince since joining Leeds from Werder Bremen and Wolverhampton Wanderers, respectively, last summer.
