Gabriel Agbonlahor has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the announcement that Aston Villa will play against Liverpool this evening.
Villa will take on Premier League rivals Liverpool at Villa Park in the third round of the FA Cup this evening.
There were doubts whether the game will go ahead due to Villa having been hit by coronavirus. However, the Villans have just announced on their official Twitter page that the match will be played as planned.
The Athletic has claimed that Villa will field their Under-23 team against Liverpool.
Former Villa striker Agbonlahor, who has retired from the game, has joked on Twitter that he tried to register himself for the match, but he ran out of time.
Liverpool are favourites
With Villa fielding young players, it is hard to see them get the better of Liverpool tonight even at home.
True, the defending Premier League champions themselves might field some young player, but manager Jurgen Klopp is likely to include a number of senior players in an effort to win the tie and progress to the next round of the FA Cup.
