Gabby Agbonlahor has urged Tottenham on his Instagram story to ‘free’ Danny Rose after Jose Mourinho was sacked by the club.
The 30-year-old hasn’t made a single appearance for Tottenham this season after Mourinho opted against handing him a squad role or number.
Instead, the left-back has trained with the Tottenham youngsters, as Ben Davies and Sergio Reguilon have fought it out for the left-sided spot.
Reguilon has been the main man in that role, and whilst his form has been indifferent of late, he has been one of the very few positives for Spurs this season.
Nonetheless, Agbonlahor, who is close friends with Rose, wrote on his Instagram story: “Free Danny Rose.”

Mourinho sacked or not, Rose isn’t needed by Tottenham anymore and it’s just a case of him seeing out his contract.
Despite Tottenham’s defensive troubles, left-back is one of their strongest suits, although no one has matched the level that Rose brought to the table when he was flying high under Mauricio Pochettino.
But in truth, Rose’s issues with Spurs started way before Mourinho joined the club, even though there was that well-documented exchange during Tottenham’s All or Nothing documentary.
