Gabby Agbonlahor has reignited his feud with Leeds United fans on Twitter this morning.
During the Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT, Alan Brazil and co-host Ray Parlour discussed the idea of the Whites going down.
Leeds are 12th in the Premier League table and eight points clear of the bottom three.
Parlour spoke glowingly about how much better United could get under Marcelo Bielsa, though Brazil claimed that they could yet get sucked into a dogfight at the bottom.
He said: “They’ve got to be careful. Everybody was talking about what a great side, energetic and full of zip. If you look at the table, they don’t want to have a little slump. Not at the moment [relegation being on the cards] but if they have a bad Christmas….”
Agbonlahor has been involved in a long-standing feud with fans of the Elland Road club, relating to quite a lot of his comments about them in recent months.
And here’s how the former Aston Villa striker reacted to Brazil’s comments on Twitter:
Are Leeds going down? Almost certainly not.
Yes, the Premier League is unpredictable, but we’re talking about a team that has just beaten Everton, drawn with Manchester City and Arsenal, and scored three goals away to Premier League champions Liverpool.
This Whites side has an abundance of potential and it might be wishful thinking on Agbonlahor’s part to believe there’s a chance of them slipping back into the Championship.
