Gabby Agbonlahor has said that he ‘rattled’ Jurgen Klopp ever since their exchange, which has coincided with Liverpool underwhelming massively this season.

After Agbonlahor tore into Manchester United after their 4-0 hammering at the hands of Brentford earlier in the campaign, Klopp decided to call him out in a press conference.
“It was obviously not a nice week for [Manchester] United after the Brentford game.”
“We forget in these moments how good Brentford are. It [the reaction to the result] was that bad, I drove home after watching the 1st half here [at the Liverpool training ground] and I listened to talkSPORT and Gabby [Agbonlahor].”
“He lost against us 6-0 in my first year, so I couldn’t remember him as a mentality monster on the pitch. But what he said about Man United in that show, I was close to calling in and telling him, ‘You forgot completely that you were a player.’
“And if ex-players go already like this, you can imagine how everything else is going. You have to ask yourself how you want to react in a situation like this”, Liverpool manager Klopp said about Agbonlahor, as quoted by Sky Sports.
Agbonlahor responds saying he rattled the Liverpool boss
Now, Gabby Agbonlahor has suggested on talkSPORT that he ‘rattled’ Jurgen Klopp, which may have led to Liverpool coming unstuck this season.
“[Jurgen] Klopp only knew my first name. Not second name”, Agbonlahor said, referencing Klopp questioning whether ex-Man City defender Nedum Onuoha whether he has ever played football.
When quizzed about whether the German was genuinely unaware about Onuoha’s career, Agbonlahor responded, “He knew he was. Come on. It’s that way of saying, ‘Oh, I don’t know who he is. What’s his name? Gabby? Gabby, what?’
The former Aston Villa striker went on to say, “And ever since [his exchange with Klopp], 16 points behind Arsenal now. It’s not been a mentality monster season for Liverpool, has it? 16 points.”
When asked about whether he got into the Liverpool manager’s head, Agbonlahor replied, “I’m just saying, he’s been rattled and this season, Liverpool haven’t been the same as they should be.”
As Gabby Agbonlahor was asked whether he rattled Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, he just said, “Yeah.”
