Gabby Agbonlahor told the Spurs Eye View that Davinson Sanchez is one ‘dodgy’ defender for Tottenham.

The former Aston Villa striker also claimed that if Jack Grealish was playing on Sunday then Sanchez would have been ‘sent off’ for Tottenham.

During the early stages of Tottenham’s 2-0 win at Villa Park over the weekend, Sanchez did endure a number of troublesome moments, including giving away a needless foul inside the first 20 minutes.

And even though Spurs walked away with three points and a clean sheet, Agbonlahor didn’t like what he saw from the 24-year-old.

“If Jack (Grealish) was playing he would have ran inside with the ball, maybe got past Tanganga and Sanchez would have got sent off,” said Agbonlahor.

“He would have been making all sorts of fouls because he is one dodgy, dodgy defender with the way he makes fouls and the wrong fouls in the wrong place.”

Other than perhaps Tanganga, and maybe Joe Rodon, not many Tottenham centre-back’s can hold their heads up high this season.

It’s been problematic for all, including Sanchez, who does worry Tottenham supporters with his on-the-edge defending.

Sanchez needs to eradicate the rashness in his game because it’s not allowing him to take his game to the next level.
