Jurgen Klopp has shared in his post-match interview that Liverpool’s dressing room was ‘lively’ prior to their 1-0 defeat to Southampton on Monday night.

The Liverpool boss shared that his ‘whole meeting’ was being repeated ‘again and again’ by the players as they recorded yet another defeat on the road.

Whilst Liverpool continue to be dominant on home soil this season, it has been a different story for the champions on the road.

Nonetheless, Klopp shared what happened in Liverpool’s dressing room before yesterday’s game.

“Our dressing room, you should see it before the game,” said Klopp. “It was really lively and everything.

“My whole meeting gets repeated again and again and again by the players themselves.

“It’s like ‘what do we have to do? Go there, do this’. A few things are clear that they will not immediately work and you will get that.”

The January transfer window is wide open and the Liverpool supporters will be hoping their club dip into the market.

It’s quite clear that another centre-back is needed, with Klopp opting to play Jordan Henderson at the back against the Saints.

Whilst Manchester United are next in the Premier League for Liverpool, they also play Aston Villa in the FA Cup on Friday and the young duo of Rhys Williams and Nat Phillips will be hoping they get another shot to prove their worth.
