Back in the summer transfer window, West Ham and Crystal Palace tried to sign Sevilla forward Munir, according to ABC Sevilla.

Now, the 26-year-old is probably wishing he did make a move to England.

What’s the story?

Well, the 4-cap Morocco international has been left out in the cold by Julen Lopetegui so far this season.

Munir has been handed just 16 minutes of football, all of which came in Wednesday’s 1-1 draw against VfL Wolfsburg in the Champions League.

Strangely, the ex-Barcelona forward hasn’t actually played a single second of football in La Liga, despite being named on the bench four times.

We’re not quite sure what has happened between Munir and Lopetegui.

Last season, the attacker made 36 appearances in all competitions, and was an important member of Sevilla’s squad.

Now, he has been frozen out.

Hope for West Ham and Crystal Palace?

If this situation carries on for any longer, Munir will surely become frustrated.

As a result, he could potentially seek pastures new.

Presumably – if he does decide to go – Munir’s agent will get in touch with West Ham and Crystal Palace, following their summer interest.

Sevilla paid just £890,000 for the forward. If he goes for a similar fee, David Moyes or Patrick Vieira could get themselves a bargain.

Munir can play anywhere across the frontline, and was once called a ‘special‘ player by Cesc Fàbregas when breaking through at Barcelona.

Keep an eye on Munir’s situation, as his lack of game time could spark a transfer development, in our view at least.
