Arsenal have just confirmed that Kieran Tierney could miss the next six weeks of football.
The Gunners lost 3-0 to Liverpool this past weekend and Tierney limped out of it with what has been confirmed now as knee ligament damage.
With Arsenal resuming their Europa League campaign on Thursday with a quarter-final clash with Slavia Prague, this is a huge blow.
But the North Londoners have also released another worrying piece of injury news.
In the same statement for Tierney, Arsenal revealed that Martin Odegaard is also struggling with an ankle problem.
The 22-year-old picked up the issue on international duty with Norway and he is being ‘assessed’ ahead of the game against the Czech outfit.
Arsenal are 10th in the Premier League table, meaning their season is all about winning the Europa League.
But Tierney and Odegaard – on loan from Real Madrid – are two huge players for Mikel Arteta and with the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang under-performing, time will tell how costly it is if the Spaniard is also without the attacking midfielder.
