After all, West Brom’s regular starters have clearly taken their foot of the pedal and if manager Tony Pulis is not willing to give the 18-year-old another chance to impress now, then when?
Field has barely featured in recent months, managing only five minutes of league football spread across four appearances, and he deserves a starting spot if the players currently ahead of him in the pecking order are not performing.
The West Brom teenager did not look out of place when he started back-to-back matches against Middlesbrough and Bournemouth at the start of the campaign.
So if Pulis is going to get anything out of the last few matches it should be seeing what Field can do when tested against the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City.
