The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder made his debut for England at the weekend and he will not want to let that go.

Harry Winks’ impressive performances for Tottenham Hotspur this season rightly earned him a place in the most recent England squad, but, after making his debut for the Three Lions, could Spurs fans be about to see the midfielder hit another level.
After all, the 21-year-old has now had his first taste of senior international action and, after impressing against Lithuania, Winks will know he has a good chance of making it into England’s World Cup squad next summer.

The only way to guarantee his place on the plane is to maintain his impressive start, and if he can find another gear in the months ahead, it could make his selection a no-brainer.
Tottenham fans have known for some time that Winks is the real deal, a superb passer with the composure of a player five years his senior, and with the motivation of a potential World Cup place, it will be interesting to see if he can improve his already impressive showings in the months ahead.

Football’s most illustrious tournament can motivate the most average of players to up his game, but Winks is a supreme talent and if he can find another level he could inspire Tottenham to great things as a result.
While Harry Kane is the undisputed star of this Tottenham side, the striker cannot do it all on his own, and if Winks, Davinson Sanchez et al hit the fast-forward buttons on their progress, this could be one hell of a season in North London.
