Tottenham Hotspur are allegedly interested in signing the Liverpool front-man.

Tottenham are interested in signing Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge in the summer, according to the Daily Mirror (February 12, page 56), but Mauricio Pochettino should be extremely wary of bringing the 29-year-old to north London.
Spurs are thought to be on the look-out for a reliable top quality back-up for Harry Kane, and despite the fact that Sturridge will be available on a free transfer in the summer, he would still represent a big risk for the Lilywhites.
The 26-capped England international has an impressive goalscoring record, with 106 goals in 299 career appearances at club level, but his injury record is nothing less than shocking.
Sturridge cannot stay fit for an entire season, and he would surely not be well-suited to Tottenham’s highly intense playing style.

Fernando Llorente has impressed over the past moth or so, chalking up two goals and three assists in his last four games, and it could be argued that he is actually a better option that Strurridge would be.
If Tottenham truly want to push on, Pochettino must be looking to be more ambitious in the transfer market, and a good start would be for him to avoid making a move for the Liverpool striker.
Spurs can certainly do better.
