Leeds United will have to pay £60,000 per week as salary if they want to sign Said Benrahma from Brentford in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun.

Le Buteur reported on September 30, 2020 (print edition, page 16) that Leeds have reignited their interest in the 25-year-old, who can operate as a winger or as a forward.

The Sun has now claimed that Benrahma wants a basic salary of £60,000 per week and a five-year contract, with his club Brentford looking for £20 million in transfer fees.

Crystal Palace are interested in the Algeria international, according to the report in the British tabloid.

The Telegraph reported in August of interest in the former Nice player from Leeds, who won automatic promotion from the Championship to the Premier League at the end of last season.

Stats

Described as “a tricky player” by his Brentford teammate Henrik Dalsgaard to WestLondonSport in June 2020, Benrahma is one of the best attacking footballers in the Championship.

According to WhoScored, the 25-year-old has played 17 minutes in the Championship so far this season, while during the 2019-20 campaign, he scored 17 goals and provided nine assists in the league and in 2018-19 he scored 10 goals and provided 14 assists in the league.
