Leicester City are reportedly keen on Everton target Marvin Plattenhardt.

According to Sky Sports, Everton remain interested in signing Hertha Berlin left back Marvin Plattenhardt – but now face competition from Leicester City.
The Toffees are in the market for new signings this summer, with Marcel Brands and Marco Silva calling the shots following their recent appointments, and a left back must be signed.
Leighton Baines is now ageing and suffered injury problems last season, whilst Luke Garbutt and Brendan Galloway appear to be miles away from the first team right now.

Sky Sports subsequently report that Everton are pursuing the signature of Hertha Berlin defender Marvin Plattenhardt, who is currently in Russia with Germany at the World Cup, and started in the 1-0 defeat to Mexico on Sunday.
However, Everton could yet be beaten to Plattenhardt, as it’s claimed that Premier League rivals Leicester City have made enquiries to try and sign the German international this summer.
The Foxes do have the promising Ben Chilwell, but with Christian Fuchs now 32, Claude Puel’s men may just view Plattenhardt as an important signing at left back, hence their moves to land him.

Pipping Everton to Plattenhardt would be another boost for Leicester, having signed Norwich City playmaker James Maddison today – who was Everton’s top target to replace James Maddison according to The Mirror.
Leicester have already signed Ricardo Pereira, Jonny Evans and now Maddison, with Plattenhardt another name to keep an eye on as they attempt to sneak in and steal him from under Everton noses.
