The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder is not enjoying the most productive campaign.
Like all football fans, Tottenham Hotspur supporters have players in their squad that divide opinion, and the latest seems to be Christian Eriksen.
Like Danny Rose and Erik Lamela before him, the Danish international is loved by some and routinely criticised by others, and it will be interesting to see if Eriksen ultimately heads the way of the England man or the Argentine winger.

While Lamela still has his doubters, Rose has emphatically proved his wrong to become arguably the best left-back in the county, and Eriksen now has the task of following the latter’s path after a series of performances many feel have been below par.
Eriksen has scored two goals and provided three assists so far this season, but he has been blamed as much as anyone for Tottenham’s struggles in front of goal in recent weeks.
He is yet to find the net in the Premier League and he has set up just one strike in his last five appearances in that competition, and even though some fans point to his work-rate the overriding fact is that he is falling short in his key role.

That could change in time, after all, Eriksen is still only 24 and like any player will suffer dips in form, but it does appear from recent fan talk that he is now the figure that most divides opinion at White Hart Lane.
He need only look at Rose for inspiration, but if he does not up his game sooner rather than later he could be dropped in favour of one of Tottenham’s other exciting options.
