Mykhaylo Mudryk may not be a Shakhtar Donetsk player for much longer.
The winger has reportedly agreed to join Arsenal in a deal worth around £80m that is expected to be concluded within the next week.
Indeed, according to The Times, the Gunners are hopeful of having Mudryk through the door by the time they face Manchester United next weekend.
However, for now, Mudryk remains a Shakhtar player, and on Saturday afternoon he was presented with an award by his current club.
Indeed, the lightning-fast winger was named as Shakhtar’s Player of the Year a fortnight ago, and now, he’s been handed the trophy he thoroughly deserves.
Mudryk won the Player of the Year award at his current club, and, to be honest, he was a shoo-in for this award.
In a year where Shakhtar have lost so many of their key players due to the war with Russia – such as Manor Solomon and Tete, Mudryk has really stepped up and become the star of the show in Donetsk.
The winger has been unbelievable in league action, netting seven goals from the left wing already this season, while he’s also been shining in the Champions League.
Indeed, he grabbed three goals and two assists in six Champions League matches this term.
There’s a reason Arsenal are about to pay a club-record fee for this player. He looks like a special talent and he’s only 21 years old.
Mudryk may not be a Shakhtar player for much longer, but he’s certainly written his name into the club’s history books during his final months at the club.
