Werder Bremen’s sporting director Frank Baumann has admitted that Milot Rashica might have played his final game for the Bundesliga side after confirming Aston Villa’s interest in the £18 million attacker, while speaking at a pre-match press conference.

During a 3-0 Carabao Cup victory over Bristol City on Thursday, Bertrand Traore and £28 million record signing Ollie Watkins both found the net for a Villa side now boasting speed, skill and cutting edge in the final third.
Signing Rashica really would be the icing on an increasingly tasty cake.
Baumann admitted to BuliNews last week that Villa want to sign the Kosovan speed-machine after his 11 goals and eight assists saved Werder from relegation last season.
With Rashica ruled out of Saturday’s trip to Schalke with injury, the sporting director believes that we may never see the former Vitesse Arnhem speedster in that iconic green shirt again.
“It’s possible that we will not see him in the Werder jersey anymore,” Baumann says.
Villa have so far offered £16 million, just £2 million short of the asking price (Kicker).
Clements Fritz, Werder’s head of football operations, also admitted this month that Villa had been in touch regarding Rashica (NDR).
