The news that Paulo Dybala has a €12m (£11m) release clause in his Roma contract could finally lead to a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

According to Di Marzio, foreign teams can sign Dybala for just £11m, and this would prove to be an absolute snip for Spurs.

Fabio Paratici, of course, knows Dybala well from his time at Juventus, while Daniel Levy tried to sign him back in 2019, but an image rights issue blocked the deal.

At just £11m, this is a move that could make the world of sense.

Spurs have struggled going forwards this season and adding a player of Dybala’s quality could be the answer. He’s a vastly experienced player who can play across the front three or as a number 10.

He has great technique, a good turn of pace, and a deadly left foot. Dybala is the type of player who can create something out of nothing and provide a real spark to the team – something Spurs have seriously lacked this season.

The release clause in Dybala’s contract is incredibly low for a player of his ability. After all, he has been described as ‘quality’ in the past.

Dybala was open to joining Spurs back in 2019, and now, four years on, a deal could resurface.

This is exactly the type of deal Daniel Levy loves to do, and Dybala would fit what Spurs are looking for as they continue to be linked with a number of attacking midfielders such as James Maddison and Nicolo Zaniolo.

The addition of a player in this mould would allow Antonio Conte to pivot into his 3-4-1-2 formation, a shape that brought him great success at Inter Milan.

Don’t be surprised if Spurs go for Dybala this summer as he’s available for a bargain price.
