Over the summer, Noni Madueke was among the most in-demand players across Europe, with Liverpool and Tottenham keen on the winger (Daily Mail).
However, his form since the end of the Premier League transfer window has been poor, to say the least, and it could now carry consequences.
What’s the story?
Well, the man valued at £34m by PSV Eindhoven started the campaign on fire, scoring six goals and providing one assist early on.
That prompted plenty of interest in the England Under-21 international, although he decided to sign a new long-term contract instead of leaving, rejecting those after his services in doing so.
Now, since the end of the transfer window, Madueke has failed to either score or assist a goal for the Eredivisie outfit.
Soccer News believe this has affected his chances of a big move.
The 19-year-old has suffered with injuries, missing three games due to muscle problems.

However, he has still appeared in the majority of games, and his dip in form has certainly been drastic as well as notable.
Did Liverpool and Tottenham dodge a bullet?
We wouldn’t go this far.
After all, the 19-year-old is still very much an infant in the world of football, and it’s testament to his ability that he started the season in such good form.
Many players suffer a dip in form every now and then, so a teenager can certainly be forgiven for doing so.

In fact, Madueke deserves huge praise. After spending time in Crystal Palace and Tottenham’s academy, he made a brave decision in heading to the Netherlands to kickstart his career.
It has paid off.
Now, he just needs to get himself back on track, although we’re sure Liverpool and Spurs haven’t crossed him off their list entirely due to a brief run of poor form.
