Frank de Boer and Aitor Karanka are among the candidates to be named the new Swansea City manager after the sacking of Paul Clement, reports the Times.

With the Swans currently bottom of the Premier League table with 12 points from 18 matches and four points from safety, getting a new boss in place as quickly as possible is surely a priority.

Karanka, meanwhile, was removed from his position at Middlesbrough in March with Boro in the top flight relegation zone and they later went down as they struggled to meet the demands of the division.

The one positive for the Spaniard was that he had the North East side defending well but not scoring enough goals; which is unfortunately the same problem Swansea have currently.
