Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho has told Football.London that Son Heung-min has a hamstring injury.

Mourinho made the comments following Tottenham’s 1-1 draw with Newcastle United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League today.

Lucas Moura put Spurs in the lead in the 25th minute, but a controversial penalty decision deep into injury time cost the North London outfit the win.

Son started the match, but the South Korea international forward was taken off at half time.

Mourinho has said that Son will be out for a while due to the hamstring injury he picked up against Newcastle.

Mourinho said about Son, as quoted in Football.London: “It’s an injury. We’ll have him out for a while. It’s his hamstring.”

Bad news for Tottenham Hotspur fans

Son is one of the best and most important players for Tottenham, and him being out of action is a massive blow.

When Harry Kane has been injured, Son has scored important goals and has played upfront.

Kane is fit and playing well, but it would be a massive blow for Spurs if the England international gets injured, with Son now out of action.

Tottenham are back in action on Tuesday when they take on Chelsea in the Carabao Cup.
