So, Dusan Vlahovic to Arsenal isn’t completely dead after all.
Following their failure to sign him last January, Fabrizio Romano revealed last week that the Gunners were upset by those negotiations and as a result wouldn’t be back in for the Juventus hitman.
However, there’s reports on the contrary coming out of Italy.
According to La Repubblica yesterday [as covered by HITC Sport], Arsenal are back in to sign the £66 million marksman, with CMW reporting also on Thursday that Mikel Arteta and Edu are actually in pole position to get him.
And if Vlahovic does wind up in North London, well suffice to say Arteta’s side will be absolutely terrifying in 2023 and beyond.
That’s because with Vlahovic, Arsenal would have attacking players which include Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Jesus – and quite possibly Mykhailo Mudryk, who is tipped to join in January.

How the Spanish manager would fit them all in is anybody’s guess, but that’s what coaches commonly refer to as good headaches to have.
With Arsenal likely to be back in the Champions League from next season onward, rotation will be a lot more important than it was, say, last season, when they had no European football of any kind.
With Mudryk very likely to join, if Edu can get Vlahovic on board as well in 2023 then we’re looking at one of Europe’s most formidable attacking sides.
The future is already bright for Arsenal, but with Vlahovic that optimism moves up a notch for sure.
