Roma are reportedly planning to present Francesco Totti with another year on his contract after he scored a crucial goal against Manchester City.
Francesco Totti became the oldest ever Champions League scorer when he netted against Manchester City and Roma seem to be ready to gamble on his remarkable longevity continuing.
At the age of 38, one-club man Totti remains integral to Roma and will be crucial in the Eternal City side’s bid to win the Serie A title while fighting for European supremacy.
Totti’s current deal expires in June 2016, when he will be just short of his 40th birthday, but reports suggest he could go on even longer.
Pallotta apparently wants to present Totti with at least another year on his contract and is likely to include a pay rise or a bonus incentive.
Totti is one of Roma’s greatest ever players having made 564 appearances since making his senior debut in 1992, scoring 235 times.
