Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are ready to pay £100 million for RB Leipzig star Christopher Nkunku after Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool cooled their interest following the signing of Darwin Nunez, according to The Independent.
Arsenal ready to pay £100m for Liverpool-linked Christopher Nkunku
The report has claimed that Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain all have shown interest in signing Nkunku from RB Leipzig in the summer transfer window.
Leipzig want £100 million for the 24-year-old France international, and both Arsenal and PSG are willing to pay it, according to the report.
The Independent have added that while Manchester United are unlikely to pay £100 million for the 24-year-old, who can play as a midfielder or as a forward, Liverpool’s interest in him ‘is expected to end for the time being’ following the signing of Uruguay international striker Nunez from Benfica.

Stats
Christopher Nkunku made 31 starts and three substitute appearances in the Bundesliga for RB Leipzig this past season.
The attacker scored 20 goals and gave 13 assists in those games.
The Frenchman also scored seven goals and gave one assist in the Champions League, and scored four goals in six Europa League matches this past campaign.
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry rates Nkunku highly, telling CBS Sports (27/04/22 at 10:50 pm): “Yes I do love watching him. Goals and assists.
“He is just having fun this season. But he is adding goals this year. He’s in the national team now. His confidence. The world wants him.”
