Newcastle United must beat Leicester City to the signing of the Juventus ace.

According to Sky Sports Italia, Leicester have submitted an opening offer of £11 million for Juventus star Stefano Sturaro, but their offer falls well short of his £18 million valuation, leaving the door open for Newcastle to swoop in for the Italy international.
The Magpies were linked with a swoop for the 25-year-old midfielder in January, according to the Chronicle, but a move obviously failed to materialise.
Sturaro is a top class performer, and his quality when in possession of the football would certainly help add another layer to the fluidity of Newcastle’s play through the middle of the pitch.

With Sky Sports Italia claiming that Sturaro could be available for just £18 million this summer, the Toon have the opportunity to secure themselves a real bargain, and they quite simply have to flex their muscles and beat the Foxes to his signature.

Rafa Benitez worked wonders last season, guiding his Magpies side to a 10th placed finish in the Premier League table, but in order to take Newcastle to another level next term, he needs to bring some real quality into St James’ Park.
Sturaro possesses the kind of quality to help Newcastle achieve their ambitions, and if Rafa does in fact manage to bring him to Tyneside this summer, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for the club.
