Boban Lazic is still looking for a club and Sheffield Wednesday should take a look.
Sheffield Wednesday had an unusually quiet summer after a couple of big years since Dejphon Chansiri took over as owner.
The Owls have just one win from their opening five games, and looking to the free agent market should not yet be discounted.
One player they should certainly take a look at is former Ajax prodigy Boban Lazic.
Lazic, 23, is represented by Mino Raiola and is looking for a new club after leaving Dutch club FC Oss earlier this summer.
The winger once came close to signing for Hull City before suffering an injury, and has a spell at Olympiakos already behind him.
Earlier this summer Lazic spent time on trial with Leeds United and featured in an under-23 game.
An agreement could not be reached and Lazic is still on the lookout for a contract.
The former Bosnia under-21 international may be a bit of a gamble if Wednesday decide to take a look, but he is a player they would be sensible to run the rule over.
He plays predominantly on the left although can also fill in a role behind the striker.
Last season he contributed four goals and provided nine assists in Holland’s second tier, with his 32 appearances showing his injury problems appear to now be behind him.
The Owls have scored just four goals in their opening five matches, and adding an extra creative player make sense for a club with as much firepower available as they currently have.
