Tam McManus has given his take on Celtic summer signing Shane Duffy on Twitter.
The former Hibernian and Dundee forward, who now works as a pundit for PLZ Soccer, believes that Duffy has not been great for Celtic so far this season.
McManus has said that he thought that the 28-year-old central defender “would have been a fantastic signing” for the Hoops, but he believes that the Republic of Ireland international has not been great.
The pundit made the comments following Celtic’s 3-1 defeat to AC Milan at Celtic Park in the Europa League on Thursday evening.
Duffy, signed on loan from Premier League club Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window, had a tough time against Milan.
The defender was caught under the cross for the opening goal for the Italian club in the 14th minute, failed to stop Brahim Diaz for the second, and was beaten by Jens Petter Hauge for the third in injury time.
According to WhoScored, the 28-year-old former Everton defender took one shot which was not on target, had a pass accuracy of 76.9%, won four headers, took 47 touches, and made one tackle and two interceptions and one clearance.
