The Leeds United captain is simply not playing well enough right now.

With Leeds United’s promotion push faltering and the Whites slipping out of the top-six for the first time in months, something needs to change before it is too late.
Leeds boss Garry Monk will understand the importance of the weekend clash against Burton Albion, when team selection will be vital and, despite his qualities, it is time Liam Bridcutt was dropped.
The Scotland international has been poor for some time now and his performance in the 1-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Easter Monday spoke volumes.
He may be the skipper, but he is not currently performing at the level required, with Leeds in real danger of seeing all their good work come crashing down in the final few weeks of the campaign.
In his place, Monk should pick Ronaldo Vieira, who looks set to recover from illness in time for Saturday’s clash.
Bridcutt has got away with below par performances for too long now and Leeds are struggling as a consequence.
He is not the only Leeds player to under-perform; however his position in the centre of the park means his struggles are highlighted more than most.
Monk needs to be brave while the club’s promotion hopes are still, theoretically, in their own hands.
