Over the summer, Everton attempted to hand Donny van de Beek an escape from his nightmarish time in the Premier League.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Dutchman came very close to joining the Toffees, although Manchester United blocked the deal.
Van de Beek himself told Rio Ferdinand that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanted him to stay at Old Trafford, although now, it seems as if he’s been messed around by the Norwegian.
What’s the story?
Well, after his move to Everton broke down, Solskjaer has handed Van de Beek just six minutes of action in the Premier League.
To block his escape route, only to then leave him on the bench, is incredibly cruel of the ex-Cardiff boss.
The £40m man hasn’t had a chance to prove himself at Old Trafford, despite arriving back in September 2020.

Van de Beek was even spotted reacting angrily after Solskjaer left him on the bench against Villarreal recently.
Will Everton make another move for Donny van de Beek?
Talk of a move to Everton has gone quiet ever since Solskjaer asked Van de Beek to stay, but it may not be over just yet.
According to Calciomercato, the 24-year-old’s agent – Guido Albers – is trying to arrange a January move for his client.

However, Inter Milan and Juventus are also attentive to the situation, so the two Italian giants pose a real threat to Everton’s hopes.
Van de Beek doesn’t seem happy with his situation at all, so keep an eye on this saga – in our view, Everton have a great chance of signing him.
