Leeds United are edging to closer to completing the signing of Samu Saiz

Leeds United bound forward Samu Saiz has begun his medical, the Yorkshire Evening Post report.

Saiz has been subject of a protracted move from Spanish side Huesca for the past three weeks, and Leeds are increasingly confident of getting the deal over the line.

Leeds announced an agreement with Huesca on Monday via their official website, stating the transfer was subject to a medical.

The Yorkshire Evening Post reported last night that complications in negotiations meant there were still details of the deal which needed to be ironed out before the move could progress.

The fact the player’s medical is underway indicates these obstacles have been overcome.

Leeds last night clinched a deal to sign striker Caleb Ekuban, and winger Ezgjan Alioski is tipped to follow.
