West Brom lost 3-0 to Chelsea and with the Baggies favourites currently for relegation should they genuinely consider sacking manager Alan Pardew?

West Bromwich Albion are now seven points from safety at the bottom of the Premier League table following their 3-0 defeat to Chelsea.

The Baggies are starting to be cut adrift by the rest of the struggling sides in the bottom half, with even 19th-placed Stoke City five points ahead of them.

It was a loss to the Blues back on November 18, that time 4-0, that cost former manager Tony Pulis his job. At the time West Brom were 17th and had taken ten points from 12 league matches.

Pulis’ successor, Alan Pardew, has managed to accrue the same amount of points but in 15 games and has taken the West Midlands side from the cusp of the relegation zone to the foot of the division.

There is a legitimate case to argue that if team’s form under the current Middlesbrough boss cost him his job then perhaps the hierarchy at the Hawthorns should also consider sacking Pardew too.

It would involve them basically admitting they made a mistake hiring the 56-year-old in the first place, but with 11 fixtures to go in the top tier of English football it could also give them a fighting chance of staying up.
