Carter-Vickers is on loan to Sheffield United from Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Cameron Carter-Vickers is proving quite the hit at Sheffield United. The 20-year-old has started the Blades last nine Championship fixtures and been on the winning side in all but two of those.
It’s been an almost seamless transition from Tottenham’s Under-23s to Sheffield United’s first team, which sits second in the Championship. And after the success of Carter-Vickers’ loan move, the Blades should feel encouraged to look to Spurs again in search of Paul Coutts cover.
The Premier League side, one suspects, would be happy to oblige.

Coutts has been one of Sheffield United’s top performers over the past 18 months – a period he began on the Bramall Lane transfer list – and will be sorely missed as he recovers from the broken leg he suffered at Burton Albion on Friday. But signing Tottenham’s Oliver Skipp could significantly soften the blow.
Despite not turning 17 until September this year, Skipp broke into Spurs’ Under-23 squad at the start of this season and has impressed in his seven outings so far.

A tall but composed central midfielder, who reads the game exceptionally well and boasts an impressive range of passing, Skipp would not look out of place in Coutts’ shoes during the second half of the campaign.
And six-month loan deal could work for all parties.
