After tying Luke Ayling down to a long-term contract, who should Leeds move to tie down next?

With Leeds United tying star defender Luke Ayling down to a new four-year deal, Andrea Radrizzani should look to secure a new contract for Spanish midfielder Pablo Hernandez, who is out of contract in the summer.
The 32-year-old Spaniard has been a regular fixture in the Leeds attack this season, featuring in a rotating cast including Ezgjan Alioski, Kemar Roofe, Stuart Dallas and Samuel Saiz in behind Pierre-Michel Lasogga.

Hernandez has divided opinion during his time at Elland Road and whilst missing a 90th minute penalty to draw level against Reading last weekend hasn’t improve his popularity in Yorkshire, the former Swansea playmaker has the ability to produce moments of magic capable of winning games at this level.

After signing on an initial six-month permanent deal in January of last season following a successful loan spell, the club triggered a clause in his contract to extend the deal by a year, but with his contract up once again this summer, now might be the time to start looking at another year extension.
At Championship level, the Spaniard certainly still has something to offer and with automatic promotion already seeming unlikely, it’d be a wise move to tie him down for another season.
